Thin or dead turf patches may be a sign of a grub problem. You may not know you have a grub problem until one of these patches shows up in your lawn. Grubs are most vulnerable between August and October and as long as the insecticide is applied once during early Fall (or per manufacturer’s instructions), the grub infestation should be eradicated which will save your lawn.
